Unique Christmas Gift Ideas People Love

Have you started your Christmas shopping? I would say that now is a good time to start. Every year Christmas shopping poses the challenges of finding the right gift. I like thinking about other people, but it can be stressful to shop. Hopefully, I can help you find a gift (or maybe something just for you!) Please do not forget your Christmas cards!

I wouldn’t recommend anything without either trying it or researching items. Since I have cerebral palsy, I like these items because they make my life easier, fun, or softer. Sometimes, I just think they are cool. Either way, happy shopping and let me know if this was helpful to you.

Amazing Gift Ideas

Human Dog Bed – I recommend a human dog bed for anyone who likes to be comfortable. This product is especially beneficial for those with cerebral palsy. A human dog bed is big enough for an adult and your furry companion if you choose. Multiple versions exist, but I like the ones that fold because of extra floor space. I would love one that opens from the top because I can open it independently. I’m still looking but I have the one from BedSure. I use it as a great place to stretch out. I can get in and out independently when I’m on the floor. I love mine on the weekends to watch TV or to sit on as I write. My 11-year-old son also loves it. I wish I had another so I would not have to share mine. I’d love one in pink.

Bed Sure Blankets – The softest blanket is right here! My family can’t own enough of these blankets, and everyone has one. They are great in bed, on the couch, on the human dog bed or car. Stock up because everyone will want one. We have multiple because mine keep disappearing. I now have a pink one in the living room and a blue one in bed.

Power XL – My lack of coordination has limited my cooking ability. This Power XL has given me the ability to instruct my personal care attendants and kids on how to cook. Everything is super easy and dinner can be made quickly. I have made steak to chicken and always looking for new recipes to try.

Touch Light Dog – This touch light dog helps me see at night. When I don’t want to wake my husband, I touch this adorable dog. It gives me just enough light to get in and out of bed. There’s a timer so the light will go off automatically or you can turn it off just by touch. If you don’t want a dog, check out the duck light.

Weighted stuffed animal – I own a weighted dog stuffed animal with no regrets. He is soft and calms my muscles if I am having a spastic night. I like propping my Kindle up so I can read at night. I want more of these guys! Highly recommend. I think that they are good for children and adults. There are several to choose from. I also like this bear.

Dreco Space Heater – I want to try this heater. In the morning, I am cold getting ready for work or typing on my iPad. I think this heater would do the trick. It is built for safety and comes in many sizes.

Soft Pajamas – I love pajamas that I can put on quickly and feel warm and comfortable. These look amazing, and anyone would love this as a gift. I enjoy pajamas that are easy to get on after a warm shower. Being comfortable in bed is essential.

Kindle in Color – Reading is a glorious escape from the challenges of life. Enjoyment of reading was not always easy with cerebral palsy because I couldn’t hold a book steady. My reading life changed dramatically with the Kindle. What an awesome colorful gift this would be for anyone to upgrade their Kindle. If you can’t afford this Kindle, try this one.

Apple Watch – I have the Series 8 Apple Watch, but I would like a 10. No matter which series you have, an Apple Watch is convenient. It gives me an added measure of safety. I know that I can call or text anyone for help. I also like that it tracks my breathing, sleeping, vitals, and more. I find it helpful to be in bed and get notifications of emails. I also get important texts without getting up to look at my phone.

Heated Vest – I hate being cold. My muscles stiffen and cold is undoubtedly uncomfortable. Imagine wearing this during the winter and never being cold. Easy to turn on and off, rechargeable and top rated. I would love to try it because it would make my life much easier.
