My goals in January from someone with a crazy schedule

January is a busy month! I admit that it hasn’t always been my favorite month because I do not like the cold. I’m always sad when Christmas lights go away and it’s dark outside. I wish lights on people’s houses would extend through March! Everything looks so much more happy and not so blah outside. Alas, I create goals to help everything go faster. When you set goals though, they can make a long, cold and dark month move a lot quicker.

I try not to set goals too high or I will be mad at myself for not accomplishing them. Also, I don’t want to make my goals too easy or they’ll be done in no time flat! It’s all about finding a happy medium. In past years, I would be really in an overachiever mood and create all of these unrealistic goals. In the end, I just disappointed myself because I couldn’t keep up.

So, with all that said, here comes my January goals. Hopefully, you’ll find them helpful and create your own January goal! I would love to hear your ambitions and goals for the month. Are they to stay warm? Stay healthy? Stay happy? You name it and I’d love to know.

    Jessica’s January Goals

    • I recently bought Planner from the App Store. My goal is to use it and conquer my to do list.
    • Write 5 things I’m grateful for in my gratitude journal that I have an app for on my iPad daily.
    • Pray for 5 people specifically throughout the day.
    • Sub twice a week.
    • Submit a weekly article.
    • Blog at least twice a week.
    • Increase my step count each day until I reach 7,000 steps.

As you can see, it isn’t too crazy. I’m up to 2600 steps a day. I have been active in prayer, writing and gratitude journal. Wish me luck and hope we all meet our goals together!
