Travel with cerebral palsy is difficult but fun

Travel with cerebral palsy happens, but not quickly. I love to travel! The problems are accessible hotel rooms, accessibility in where I travel, and I hate to fly. I do fly, but it’s just not my favorite. Other than all of that, I’d travel if I had the money and time. I find it fun to think about the top places that I’d like to travel. Where would you go?

A travel wheelchair helps as well. You can even buy one on Amazon. I recommend a travel wheelchair because airplanes have a habit of breaking wheelchairs, unfortunately.

Travel to my top five destinations

  1. Disney World – Yes, I’ve been there a few times, but I can never get enough. Each time is something new to explore. The last time I went, the accessibility seemed top-notch. I’d love to take my children, but it looks like with airfare included – it’ll cost somewhere around $5,000! Nonetheless, I’d still like to go.
  2. Europe – I know everyone would like to travel to Europe. I’m no different. Fortunately, I visited the Netherlands when my sister married in 2001. From my recollection, the accessibility needed much-needed work. In an imaginary world, though, I’d love to visit England, Paris, and Germany. Maybe one day I’ll travel and see if the accessibility has changed.
  3. Erie / Bradford – I have several friends from college, including my best friend. Visiting them would make my heart happy. I haven’t seen them for years. I believe my best friend and I would talk and laugh constantly.
  4. Dubai – I heard that Dubai is a beautiful and glamorous place. I could visit there and check that out. Accessibility probably isn’t an issue because they are technologically advanced. I want to stay at an elegant hotel.
  5. Hawaii – Flying to Hawaii is long. I have been there before, but I’d love to go back. The sunsets are beautiful, pineapple delicious, and the weather is gorgeous and romantic. I know it’s also expensive, but I could happily see myself watching the sunset each night smiling.

For right now, these are my top five places to travel. What are yours?
