Complaining is one out of three of my top pet peeves

Complaining isn’t my style. As people, we complain, but some more than others. I’m trying to complete a 30-day blog challenge and today’s question is, what are your three pet peeves. I aspire to write about happy things, so negative writing pushes me out of my comfort zone.

Three pet peeves

  1. Complaining – Whenever I hear whining, I immediately think about action. For every complaint, there is an action to relieve the problem. If something is messy, fix it. If someone is bothering you, talk to the person. Are you feeling unhappy? Find your happiness and do it. Life is way too short to complain it away. Take action. Are you upset about the world? Vote, volunteer, and act. Talk positive and love life.
  2. Laziness – My poor husband gets the death look every time he attempts to lie on the couch and nap. I always see something that has to be or could be done. In my opinion, I’m not lazy, and when I watch too much tv or play internet games too long – I stop. I can’t help but think how much happier the world would be if people weren’t lazy. Wake up, get to work, take care of yourself and your environment. If we all did that, life would be pleasant.
  3. Intolerance – I don’t understand intolerant people. I’m not just talking about race, gender, or disability because if someone is biased about those things, then their little box of life is trapping them. I’m talking about intolerant to other political ideologies, religious beliefs, and work ethic.  My political ideology is conservative. I’m not ultra-right or left. However, this doesn’t mean that I don’t understand other points of view. It also doesn’t tell that I shouldn’t be heard because I’m conservative. I read my news from multiple sources and respect ideas/thoughts. There is a vast difference between respect and intolerant. I don’t understand why we can’t just respect our differences by agreeing to disagree.

What are your pet peeves? How do you handle them and why? I feel bad even complaining at all but just trying to complete this challenge.
