Chocolate chip cookies are the best. However, there is nothing like an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The taste is delicious, but the oatmeal helps keep you full.

Like chocolate chip cookies, the key is to add a significant amount of chocolate chips. The chocolate chips keep you coming back for more. Also, do not overbake. Keep the timer a lesser amount, and you’ll have cookies that are just perfect.

    Ingredients

    1 cup butter, softened

1 cup packed light brown sugar

    ½ cup white sugar

    Two eggs

    Two teaspoons of vanilla extract

    One ¼ cup all-purpose flour

    ½ teaspoon baking soda

    One teaspoon salt

    3 cups quick-cooking oats

    1 cup chopped walnuts

    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

    2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time until well combined; stir in vanilla extract.

    3. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Drop batter by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

    4. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on a baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Let me know how it works out, and feel free to share!
