Time for a change and to enjoy life. How were your Christmas and New Year’s? These holidays are full of busy activities! We had a great December and looked ahead to a new year.

A Christmas present that we gave was a trip to Disney World! We are sending our daughter with the school band/chorus. We decided to take our son as well.

I’m looking forward to it, and you’ll read some blogs about our planning and trip.

If you’ve been a reader of mine, you know that I like making resolutions. I like goals and achieving my goals. So I want to share my New Year’s Resolutions with you and hopefully inspire you for your own.

    Resolutions

    1.  Better relationship with God – Inspired by my priest, include God in your resolutions. He created us, He will be with us, and we will return to Him. Now is the time to deepen your relationship, shed those sins, and keep looking to be who you were made. Pray, listen to God, continue to go to Mass, teach my children by words and example, confess and dedicate my life to God.
    2. Read a chapter daily – I’d like to read a chapter in a book daily. Reading is good for your mind, soul, and relaxation.
    3. Stay in shape – Mindful of what I eat and how much I exercise—having cerebral palsy ages your body much more than the average. Staying in shape is vital, so I can live longer and in less pain.
    4. Enjoy people – Get my head out of technology and develop more robust and deeper relationships with those in front of me.
    5. Study habits – Instill study habits in Jason, take a few courses, and remember to keep learning.
    6. Complete both the Bible in a Year and Catechism in a Year podcast.
    7. Support Laura in not only her goals but her mental health. – She needs to prioritize sleep as well as grades.
    8. Paint my rooms in the house.
