Friendship and love are probably the most things that are important to me. Everyone has a place in their heart that is a soft spot. Think about things that make you truly happy and place a smile on your face. When I think about mine, even if I’m having a bad day, I smile.
Here are my five ways to my heart. This is a fun blog to write because we get to think about the things that makes us happy. I challenge you to give it a try. It can make you a bit happier, and if you’re happier, the world is brighter.
Love Keys to my heart
Love – Love is an amazing concept given to us from God. Jesus taught us how to love. With love, everything else falls into place. Loving other human beings, no matter how young or old, makes me happy. I want the best for everyone and offer forgiveness easily. With love comes honesty, trust and kindness. If you want to win my heart, being full of love and loving others are excellent ways.
Happy – Happy people draw me in then people who complain. Some are doom and gloom. Nothing is good enough. I remember when President Trump was in office, and he would donate his salary to excellent causes. I’d think everyone would be happy, but people would make some nasty comments. Things like that drive me crazy. Complaining, nothing makes you happy and one sidedness are annoying. Happy people tend to smile more, show gratitude, and just nice to be around.
Chocolate – Chocolate is a great way to my heart. I love most chocolate except super dark chocolate or white chocolate. Everyday I need to drink my chocolate milk, and I really like hot chocolate. Chocolate cake, ice cream, candy and cookies are excellent. In fact, chocolate chip cookies are my absolute favorite or oatmeal chocolate chip.
Friendship – I have always valued friendships. Being invited places, people texting or calling me, visits etc make me light up inside with love. I strive to be a loyal friend no matter if we agree or disagree. A friendship is one of the best things you can have.
Active – I’m an active person. My Fitbit keeps me very active and moving. Being bored or just watching tv all day just isn’t my style. I try to be doing something- anything. One of the hardest things about cerebral palsy is not being able to just get up and doing something. It kills me when I see a mess or disorganization because I just want to jump in and organize. I write, teach, play, work out, clean and organize. We only have one life to live so might as well make the best of it!
