People often tell me that I’m a tough movie critic. I am certain that I obtained my picky movie taste from my father. When we were growing up, my father had the strictest views on movies. We basically could not watch anything PG 13 even after the age of 15. Even though he was very strict, I honestly do admit that I’m better off in not seeing all the unnecessary violence, sex, language and such. At the time of my teenage years, I did not appreciate his firm beliefs.
I complied a fun list of movies that are my top ten. For me to like a movie my general rules are that the movie usually has little to no foul language, violence that makes sense but not extreme, little to no sex and have a really good plot. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, but those are my normal guidelines.
As of now, here are my top 10 movie picks that of course are subject to change:
1. The Greatest Showman – I feel this movie is visually stunning, great plot, and definitely great music
2. Chef – Chef makes me so angry because of unnecessary foul language. Without the foul language, it’s an excellent movie with humor and family bonding.
3. Fault of the Stars – This movie is so romantic, sad, and well written. I loved it.
4. Mr. Church – Mr. Church is funny, sad, happy and sweet movie about caring for others.
5. Cinderella – This is another visually stunning movie that is beautiful, sweet, sad and romantic.
6. LaLa Land – Wonderful, musical, romantic movie.
7. Beauty and the Beast – Beautiful setting and excellent quality movie.
8. The Hundred Foot Journey – This movie has it all – romance, good work ethic, funny, beautiful setting.
9. Les Miserable – I love the classic story, and the movie doesn’t disappoint. Wonderful music and Hugh Jackman does awesome!!
10. Blind Slide – I could watch this movie hundreds of times. Great heartwarming story.
Please let me know what are your favorite! I’m always searching for a great movie to watch.
Have a great day!
