Jason’s Alphabet Parade As The Fantastic Letter A

Walking into the parade  Beginning of the parade

Today Jason’s pre school had an Alphabet Parade. The children were each assigned a letter from the alphabet and parents created a T-shirt for them to wear during the parade. I believe it’s a cute idea and came out very well.

I believe that the school decided to have this parade to replace a Halloween costume parade. I can imagine that dressing several children who are five and under has presents a difficult task!

Having limited arm control, I knew that I would need help creating his T-shirt. I immediately thought about my wonderful and creative sister, Julie,to help. Even though she is very busy, but she quickly said yes!  I knew no matter what, the T-shirt would be creative and adorable.

My sister delivered the T-shirt the night before it was due in class. The teachers made the due date well ahead to make sure that they had everyone’s T-shirt. I cannot say enough how excited I felt when she showed it to me. When you first look at it, it’s obvious that she spent a lot of time getting it correct.. The design and detail definitely showed her artistic abilities. Julie has always had a creative mind ever since we were little.

Jason has been dealing with some nasty virus and ear infection. I grew nervous as the time drew near for his parade. Jason woke up healthy, happy and ready to go this morning. You can imagine the relief I felt. I talked to Jason how I expected him to behave especially since he was the leader of the parade. I told him to smile, pay attention, and use his bravery.

My son didn’t disappoint one bit! When we saw him walking down the hallway, he had the biggest, happiest, brightest smile that anyone could ask for. He did a phenomenal job and his teacher complimented him.  My sister’s hard work paid off, and the parade was a success!
